Growing your business with simple stuff that works

Would you like to grow your business, increase your profits or just make everything you do much more successful? Well, doing all that can be a lot simpler than you might think.
It's often said that the simple ideas are the best, they don't need to cost a lot either but they can have the greatest impact on your business.
Here are the second 3 of 6 simple things you can do to grow your business:
4. Outsource non-income generating tasks
If you spend all your time on administrative tasks, or things that don’t bring new income into the business you aren’t spending your time in the right place. You have to be free to work on the things that do bring in income so try outsourcing some of the more basic, easy to track tasks like bookkeeping / HR management / invoicing to name a few.
There are so many virtual assistants available now all over the world who can help take these tasks off your hands, freeing you up to do things that will actually matter in the long run.
5. Measure your sales activity
You can’t control when you get new business but you can control how much activity you do to bring that income in. Having some set KPI’s in place and actively measuring your output against them leads to increased focus and a renewed enthusiasm for actually getting stuff done.
6. Networking
Whilst a lot of people don’t like networking it is true that people buy from people, and a great way to build up your networking is by going to face to face events. Most are relatively inexpensive making the main investment your time in attending.
There are many to choose from, including ones for specific industries, so do your research and find one you think will work for you and get out there. Networking relies on building trust so make it a regular thing, not just a one off and you’ll gradually build up potential new customers just by meeting and greeting.
In summary, it doesnt have to be complicated or expensive to grow your business and often the most simple ideas are overlooked. The simple stuff works and with a concerted effort it can create real improvement in sales and increase bottom line profit.
